SHELL VARNISH REMOVAL FLUID
A NEW PRODUCT FOR CLEANING OIL SYSTEMS
Shell Varnish Removal Fluid is a synthetic based solvency booster, that improves the solubility of used oil. This product is to be used for cleaning oil systems, such as hydraulic-, gear-, circulation- and turbine systems before an oil change. Shell Varnish Removal Fluid is added at a treat rate of 3 to 10%, at one to four weeks before the complete oil change, depending on how much deposits there are in the system. The result is a clean system without deposits (e.g. varnish) when the system then is filled with new oil.

SHELL FIRE-RESISTANT HYDRAULIC FLUID S3 DU 46
A NEW FIRE RESISTANT (HFDU) AND READY BIODEGRADABLE HYDRAULIC FLUID
Shell is introducing a fire-resistant hydraulic fluid based on polyalkylene glycol (PAG).
The benefit of using a PAG-based type of product compared to other less flammable
products, such as Shell Naturelle S2 HF 46, is extended maintenance intervals and
service life. The fluid is very stable at high temperatures and resistant to thermal
degradation up to 120°C.
The product is classified as readily biodegradable according to OECD 301B, where >60%
need to be biodegraded after 28 days.
Shell Fire-Resistant Hydraulic Fluid S3 DU 46 can be used as hydraulic fluid in industrial
and mobile equipment where a fire-resistant fluid is required to minimize the risk of fire.

SHELL HELIX HYBRID 0W-20
FULLY SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL FOR HYBRID ENGINES
An ultra high performance engine oil for the special requirements of hybrid engines.
The PurePlus baseoil made from natural gas (GTL) provides unsurpassed flow properties, which makes Shell Helix Hybrid 0W-20 able to resist the unique challenges which exist in Hybrid engines:
- Flows faster in all temperatures – even at Nordic winter temperatures – and this provides extra lubrication and protection for hybrid engines.
- Contains special additives to provide extra protection from water and corrosion damage in the hybrid engines. The hybrid engines are more susceptible to condensation because of the many stops and starts.
- Exceeds the requirements of API SP and ILSAC GF-6A, which are the major industrial standard requirements for hybrid engines.
- Provides improved fuel economy in the combustion engine. Up to 3,6% better fuel economy can be achieved versus the industry reference oil.
SHELL THERMAL FLUID E5 M
A NEW STATE OF THE ART E-FLUID
Engineered for batteries, electric motors, inverters and fast chargers.
It is a Sulphur free technology fluid which provides the ultimate resistance versus corrosion and damage to electrical systems in automotive applications.
The main applications for Shell Thermal Fluid E5 M are as a battery coolant – especially in heavy duty vehicles such as fully electric busses and trucks, as well as charging applications which has a high demand for cooling (Fast charging systems etc.). It is based on non-corrosive zero sulphur base oil (GTL) technology and has been designed for a a range of high and low temperatures.
